Missing Driver Marty Weller
Maurice “Marty” Weller was unfortunately found, deceased. Preliminary findings indicate heart attack. He was found at the Petro Truckstop 237 miles from last known location. The truck ran out of fuel from idling. Our hearts go out to his family and friends. Thank you to everyone that shared the news of his disappearance and joined in the effort to find Marty.
Missing Driver Reported by Missing Truck Driver Alert Network: Marty Weller, 47, is 6ft tall, bald (possibly blonde hair) and blue eyes. He has undisclosed medical issues.
He is driving a ’96 Freightliner. It is a darker purple with flames and license plate number is 604-XAJ (Colorado) as verified with detective in charge of the case in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Company name has been updated to Billy Moore Trucking. MC#776051, DOT#948107 He was pulling a reefer trailer. Unique identifier: On driver’s side compartment of tractor, the fire extinguisher compartment says “Fire Putty Outty Thing.”
He picked up a load of beer in Ft. Collins, CO and was headed to Concord, NC. Drop was due Tuesday, 9-3-13 @ 1000 hours. His last known location was Hurricane Mills, TN with idle air phone on 9/1/13 @ 1000 hours. Last call was made from Hurricane Mills, TN. Previous information about phone pinging in Texas is incorrect.
Authorities in CO, TN, TX and FBI in Denver have all been notified of missing person.
